The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives people the general right to see recorded information held by public authorities. In an effort to provide greater openness and transparency, the Act helps people to get a better understanding of how public authorities carry out their duties, make decisions and spend public money.
The Parish Council’s Publication Scheme, adopted on the 4th November 2008 and effective from the 1st January 2009, sets out the categories of information that are held and will routinely be made available to the public. The separate guide to proactively published information explains in greater detail the nature of the information falling within the various categories, and the manner in which it can be provided.
Any other information held by the Parish Council, provided it is not defined as exempt under the Act, can be made available on request in writing to the Parish Clerk at clerk@hadleyleegomery-pc.gov.uk or by letter for the attention of Parish Clerk to Hadley Community Centre, High Street, Hadley, Telford, TF1 5NL.
